Instructions: Integrating Technology in the Classroom

Using Technology

Web Resources for Teachers:  These resources help foster students’ use of technology and accountability.  They help teachers easily keep in touch with parents and students who are out of class.  Look over the following resources and then write a one-page reflection.  Submit the reflection below and you will receive one PDP towards mentor certification.

    • ClassJump.com provides teachers web sites free of charge, where multiple classes can be managed and updated using an easy to understand interface. No knowledge of website programming is needed to get your class or classes set up and quickly providing up-to-date information for your students and parents.
    • Edmodo provides teachers and students a secure place to connect and collaborate, share content and educational applications, and access homework, grades, class discussions and notifications. Our goal is to help educators harness the power of social media to customize the classroom for each and every learner.

Wikispaces is special because we give you a visual editor and a bunch of other tools to make sharing all kinds of content as easy for students as it is for their teachers.
