Instructions: Dealing with Difficult Children

Teaching can be very difficult, especially when you have a student who is non-compliant and interrupts your classroom.  It is important to learn some quick and easy solutions that can help you work with these challenging kids.

Please read the articles and watch the video clips then anwer the reflection questions.  You will be asked to identify a student that you have trouble working with and find solutions that would work best in your classroom.

Reflection:
  1. List at least five ideas for managing defiant or non-compliant students that you could give to your mentee.
  2. What strategies would you recommend your mentee attempt if they are dealing with a defiant or non-compliant student?
